The people dont want controls.........

In the UK, the people do. While at the same time letting their police force become more and more armed.

A lot of the historical freedom of gun ownership in the US is not about hunting......its mainly personal protection and as a deterrent against a hostile US government.

Why does the UK have nuclear weapons.......freedom aint free.

On another point........ the US is big...... very big....

A lot of people live a LONG way from Law enforcement.
Calling 911 (999) could result in someone turning up hours later. (days in the case of Alaska!)

I personally don't own any guns.......but I defend a citizens rights to own them.
