I live in Lyon

The old town is the most picturesque part of the city and there you'll find the 'pubs' that are scottish, irish or english styled (Walles, James Joyce, Smoking Dog, St James, Elephant and Castle) and the focal point for many of the travelling fans. It's not too far from place bellecour and the fanzone while there are a couple of other parts of the city where you can go off the beaten track and find a few nice bars. I live on the Croix Rousse where there is a super Irish pub full of French. Depends what you want really. If you want to be with out without tourists or a french experience. Several branches of Ninkasi who brew their own beer are worth a shout. Let me know if you need anything else.
