I don't watch enough County cricket to know who the possible new breed are but

I think the one player who needs to be replaced is Compton.

I'd persevere with Hales and Vince for the time being.

With Compton I just don't really understand the logic that a player who the selectors have decided is not good enough to open gets brought back in as number 3 and even then not really on the back of obviously outstanding county form. I just don't think he knows how to approach his innings and he can't counter attack, especially now he has come under pressure due to his form.

I suppose if Woakes keeps batting well we could play him and Stokes (in home series anyway), shift Root to 3 and move everyone else up 1 spot. Would give us very strong bowling options. Like the sound of Borthwick as well for tours where we need extra spin options.
