Below is a BAD word

We say "working towards".
Problem is no-one seems quite sure what is "working towards" and what is "working at" ARE - in other words we don't really know what ARE is. So I know where my chaps are, I just don't know if it's where they should be.
And don't get me started on SPAG - see what I just did there?
