Cherry Berry and I lived in London gor seven years and had to leave

A small 2 bed flat and 2 children in nursery for 3 days a week was looking to cost us ?3,500 a month. It wasn't an easy decision to make though as the industry I work in is almost exclusive to London. We were in a position where we were seen to be earning too much to qualify for childcare support but not enough to pay for it ourselves. Without rent caps, it was just not sustainable.

People shouldn't be forced to move away from the area they've grown up in just because capitalism has allowed rents to increase higher than the average wage can cope with.
