In response to club dinner enquiry:

Cous cous salad starter, with harissa dressing - quite nice.
Chicken with tarragon, lemon and cream sauce, mint peas and new potatoes - too much lemon in the sauce, chicken slightly overcooked.
Bakewell tart with raspberry coulis and clotted cream - good.

Otherwise, no immediate or obvious sign of financial meltdown. New interim CEO spoke as if he wanted the job permanently, Alex looked and sounded glum, but then he's never been a comedian, Aviva spokesman spoke about continuing partnership and Anglian home improvements woman gave a spiel about synergies and content.
