In real life she made a patently absurd allegation of sexual assault against some poor bloke who was walking past her at a Tube station. CCTV clearly showed what she alleged simply physically could not have happened (she said he penetrated her with his fingers - fingers which were away from her and holding a paper when he walked past her). Somehow, charges were still brought but he was very rapidly acquitted.

Point being that genuine victims of sexual assault face many barriers to coming forward, one of which is not being believed. When someone makes a false claim of this nature it feeds the narrative of "they all make it up" - which is as absurd as it is offensive.

The bloke in question is now publically known as having been accused of a sexual offence. Acquittal doesn't always mean much where reputations are concerned.
