reluctantly, I think this is the only option. I think the Board may have decided to let worthy go at the end of the season (could even have triggerred the commencement of the 12 month notice clause already, meaning a pay off of only 6 months' salary at the end of the season) and therefore it makes sense to keep the money. It is going to be easier to attract a top manager with a ?5 million kitty isn't it? So rather than speculate on players we are not going to sign, why don't we all concentrate on who we want as manager? Only one contender for me ........ Martin O'Neill!
