As an addendum to my post yesterday

Take a knob of ginger, squish it with the flat of the blade of a big kitchen knife, put it in equal measures of gin-from-the-freezer and elderflower/tonic/chilled water with lime or lemon juice from the fridge. Just as nice but no bits (I actually like the bits, I've learned today that others don't always)
