Some spirits don't work in the freezer

like whisky or brandy; but gin, vodka, Unicum etc all live in my freezer when I buy a bottle. Gets it colder than you'd get just popping an ice-cube in there, and means you don't need an ice cube to dilute your otherwise perfectly mixed drink. The alcohol content means it will never freeze (wine might freeze, if left long enough)
