but that just demonstrates by what fine margins football matches are usually decided by (and why it is possible to do exactly the same thing tactics/selection wise and get totally different results).
I do have a perception though that there have been noticeably more of those little things go against us than for us this season, and that all the talk of tactics is sometimes an over-analysis (we have been competitive and had the opportunity to get a result from most games we've played but missed chances and defensive cockups have cost us really dearly).
