No one died.

Relegation is disappointing, but it's not the end of the world. I suspect pretty much everyone (players and supporters alike) had come to terms with the likelihood of relegation a few weeks ago. It wasn't a sudden event. It was a culmination of a poor season where we were always going to be in the relegation mix. The fact is three teams have to go down, and we were one of the three poorest teams. The run of eight defeats and one draw in nine games after the New Year was the defining period of our season. Relegation form, confirmed yesterday.

Teams go up, teams go down (unless you're Ips**t scum)... it's what league football is about. But no one has died... so why cryarse over it? I don't give a f**k if players are smiling or sharing a joke after relegation. It's like workers in a company being censured for laughing and joking amongst themselves after a set of poor annual results. What should they do? Wear black armbands? Go into a seven day period of official mourning?

It's bollocks. Supporters have to get over themselves and get a sense of perspective. Get a grip of reality. There's way too much hysterical kneejerking and blubbing and anger.

Norwich City have given us good times, they've given us awful times, and they've given us moments of complete and utter joy. That's football. Ups and downs. A rollercoaster. Never a dull moment (apart from the Bryan Hamilton and Glenn Roeder eras).

Enjoy the ride. After all, you could support a team like 1p5wich and have gone absolutely nowhere and achieved FUCK. ALL. for a whole generation.
