None of us KNOWS if he will be a great, or even a very good, manager. And none of us knows the opposite either. You have to wait to find out.
This of course is would be true of anyone else we could appoint. We are never ever going to attract the attention of anyone who has already demonstrated themselves to be a great manager (it could easily be argued we've never actually had one - Ron Saunders was maybe the closest since he actually went on to win a league title at Villa)
