QPR signed Charlie Austin because we beat them to the Hooper signing

Can't help thinking Austin would have been a better fit for Hughton - he'd had Andy Carroll at Newcastle and Zigic at Birmingham. Neither Hooper nor RvW could play as lone strikers.
