What do they actually for their commission? I'm not sure why they still exist as a

"profession" tbh.

At least lawyers/solicitors add value (do something that has take years to study for and become experts in, e.g the law!)

What do middle men (and women and other genders) actually do these days that buyers and sellers couldn't do themselves much more efficiently anyway?
