if you say you're tackling tax avoidance whilst yourself benefitting from it, then that's a problem. But, leaving that aside, why is it unethical to avoid tax (legally) but apparently ethical not to arrange your affairs in order to pay the maximum of tax? Many people where they are able to do so pay as little tax as possible - whether through use of pensions/savings schemes/working through a company rather than being self-employed/whatever, but without attracting the criticism reserved for richer people who do the same thing on a more sophisticated level. That is hypocrisy too.
