Ron Ashman

Admittedly after Norwich event. Saw him in a carpark after a game about 15 years ago. My grandad was his biggest fan and they both stood there with tears in eyes talking for ages about the old Norwich teams.

He was a true gent, I think my grandad cried most of the 40 miles home.

Both died within a couple of years of that day.

Ironically my grandad acknowledged nothing in the last week of his life in hospital but when I told him that huckerby scored the winner against Ipswich he opened his eyes and smiled, they were his last reactions in life.
