I'd be interested in your view on that actually

I enjoy boxing and have seen it live at amateur level as well as on the telly. I'm obviously not medically trained but it seemed to me that Blackwell should have been pulled at the time (sounds like I'm being clever with hindsight, but I said it when the fight was happening), and Eubank Sr did a very good thing in getting Jr to ease off and focus on body shots, no doubt with ghosts of Watson in his mind.

Should the ringside doctor not have stepped in earlier, if his corner wasn't prepared to pull him out? If I can see he's taken too much punishment, surely the ringside medic should be able to - or, is this a case of projecting what we now know onto what we saw then. Was it reasonable to assume that he was in fact OK? He didn't look all there a good couple of rounds before it was stopped - the round before it was stopped it looked beyond obvious to me, but the round before that even I think there was a strong case for medical intervention. Am I being unfair?
