It annoys Mrs Derbyshire, who is Dutch, but not from Holland

It's like calling a UK team "England".
N Holland and S Holland are the richest and most densely populated provinces, including Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague.
Think you'd find quite a few NL provincials are not that relaxed about calling the national team "Holland". As far as I'm aware, it's only the UK and Irish who officially call them Holland.
