applying for own job bollox

So will need to apply for my own job competitively.

Not made a natural successor despite fact I completely do the job already and can demonstrate it. Its because old generic job description that I had no control over was too vague to match to new one.

They wont tell me how many I am up against.

Oh and good record doing the job over 3 years, does not count for anything. Totally judged on performance in a presentation, interview.

Utter utter bollox.
