we were in italian airport the other week and i reported unattended rucksack on seat to airline worker who called for assistance on radio. finance police turned up had a quick look and then walked off to get assistance from other police. they didn't do a thing, nada. two carabinieri turned up a few mins later and calmly unzipped rucksack and had a rummage about. incredible.

air travel has just been shafted. as if it wasn't bad enough already ffs.
