sadly, the absence of the self-styled "big five" will probably mean even less interest in

the FA cup and even less effort going into making it worthwhile.

Within 10 years I fully expect the FA cup as from round 3 to involve 15 minute 5-a-side games over a single weekend after the league and champions league has been concluded
