You may of course be right, but I thought he played well yesterday

He isn't going to stretch the defence as much as Jerome, or be a physical presence like Jerome/Mbok, but his movement around the box in tight areas when we had the ball was great. He was never still, always trying to find a gap, get open, give others an option, run in behind. I thought that aspect of his game was much better than either of our other two strikers. And his hold up play was decent, given he was alone against two of the best CBs in the world. And he worked hard chasing back. He did tire, but he hasn't got many minutes under his belt, that side will improve.

Overall what's not to like? I hope he starts again next week. And if we don't stay up, it will hardly be his fault.
