Many thanks looks great, looking for staying for just 7 nights

Thinking of not bothering with a car and mix the beach with some culture, I hadn't taken into account the pick pocketing / safety note, but now reading a lot on the interweb, is it any worse than Paris or London? apart from not acting like a knob on holiday any tips..?
