Seems to me she took it for the benefits - real or perceived...

...considering she is worth uber mucho spondulicks it is hard to believe the many people that work for her, whether that be on or off the court, didn't pick this up a while ago...

Therefore I think the probability is she knew but for whatever reason carried on...
