We kept clean sheets at the expense of expansive play, and most fans hated it. I don't

agree that we've got worse due to the January players (a bit more complex than that), but I do agree that we haven't recruited well. We always end up dropping too far down our list of targets. To say that it's because we can't attract better players is to beg the question "why?". Other PL fringe clubs seem to do that.
