If you have one of the league's weakest squads AND you are managing terribly it is a pretty safe bet you will be getting tonked by 3 or 4 goals on a regular basis. We are not.

If, say, your manager does an average job and the opposition manager also does an average job, and the opposition manger has better players you would expect the opposition to just come out on top. That is pretty much what has generally been happening for the most part.
We have been underdogs for pretty much every game in this poor run so we are pretty much dependent on our manager doing much better than average or the opposing manager doing much worse than average, all other things being equal.
