I agree with you. Unfortunately I do not think our ownership situation

is compatible any more with succeeding or consolidating at premier league level save for the odd season where you might overacheive. The fundamental issue is not transfer fees these days but wages and essentially every club in the premier league can outdo us in that respect.

I say unfortunately because I would love us to be able to succeed at this level with our current owners but I can't see it happening based on the evidence of the last 5 years. I also can't see them stepping aside to allow investment to come in any time soon, especially now we have ex head of MI6 Tommy on the board.
