that argument could be used at any time though

the Prem TV money now is massively more (far bigger proportionally than next years increase) than it was when we went up with Worthy in 2004 so by your argument staying up for newly promoted teams should be much more difficult now than it was then. But I'm not sure if the stats back that up - the number of promoted teams that survive seems broadly similar to me than it was back then?
