Or at least factors you can't control (officials, the opposition). Say you get totally pummelled but the opposition strikers miss a load of sitters (which is nothing to do with you) and you get a goal from a dodgy penalty. How much credit can you claim for that?

And as for your 80 minutes comment, I have hardly ever seen any team play well for the whole 90 minutes, so on that basis hardly anyone ever plays well.
