Actually the one thing that might save football...

is if these huge global marketing tool megaclubs f*cked off and formed their own league. As things stand their presence just reduces every other team in their own domestic leagues to the status of "opponent". I'd be thrilled never to play the likes of Man U and Chelsea again.

Trouble is they'll want to have a European Super league AND stay in their own leagues (and clubs will let them do so because of the TV revenue they bring in - a Premier League with the Big Six or so would be worth not much more than the Championship in TV revenue terms)
