like if a doctor lops the wrong leg off sort of cock-up thing? but no culpability at all? "sorry mate, i f**king just cocked-up! hop along see ya later"

these people are paid good wedge to officiate at something that costs people a hefty wedge to go and see, surely there should be some culpability other than drop them to ref a game or two in the next league down?
