I would stay closer to the old town if possible. If you're only there for a short time,

you'll much prefer being able to walk around without worrying about taxis and buses and having a base closer so you can rest in between doing stuff.

When are you off? I'm meeting my sisters up there on the w/e of the 4th March - can't wait!

I have to confess, I've never been inside the castle. I probably should!
