For me as well it's the cultural links and all the opportunities for cross Europe co-operation afforded by some of the funding programmes.
I get totally f**ked off with the Farageist "Little Englander" approach and recognise that some at least of the outers seriously believe that horizons can be widened out with the EU. Don't agree with it but at least I see where they are coming from.
The other thing that seems clear is that if polls are to be believed (!) the under 40s who have known nothing else are in favour of remain. Old w**kers like me really shouldn't be robbing them of that opportunity although I am a confirmed "inner" anyway.
