Actually its not that strange, its playing out more or less how I thought it would.

Trump has a high base but a low ceiling....... meaning getting 30% wins now but wont be enough once the field narrows.
Kasich and Carson need to drop out for Rubio to pick up real speed for Super tuesday.
I can see the mainstream GOP getting behind Rubio now.

There is a legal possibility that Ted Cruz is ineligible to run for President, as if this couldn't get any crazier.
