Following on from this

it seems to me that a lot of clubs, in both the championship and the premiership are going s**t or bust to make sure that they are in it next year. Any of the clubs around us are going to be in a far worse position than us if they go down.

And, Middlesbrough and Derby have spent silly money to try and get into the premiership. Both have average attendances that aren't much different to ours, so it is just the extra TV money is like some kind of medicine that will cure all their financial issues. It won't, not in the longer term.

Aston Villa are likely to be the next Leeds Utd or Sheff Weds, but Sunderland could be as well.

So, whilst we probably aren't in the top 20 clubs in the country, I think we are in the top 5 as to how well we are run. And in the long term, regardless of whether we are in the prem or champ, we are in a much healthier state than 95% of football clubs out there and I am pleased about that.
