he's useless unless you create chances for him in the box. Slow, doesn't work hard off the ball, strong but loses the ball with poor touches, has no threat of pace in behind, lacks clever movement and is easily marked out of games by centre backs.
As an all round player, Jerome is far superior. Just a shame he's terrible at finishing. The fact that Bamford can't get a game (so far) is also worrying after what happened to him at Palace, a team that had a poor group of strikers before signing Adebayor.
Again, it comes down to a desperate lack of quality in the squad.
