I wasn't denying that he makes mistakes, just saying that most managers do in this league, so it's a bit of a nothing comment saying he makes lots of errors.

It's clear that he has made some very poor decisions in recent weeks, plus the Newcastle game.

It's also one thing having a plan, another having the players stick to it. If you can't keep hold of the ball or control the game (aka Villa) then it's difficult to not retreat.
