Fair enough and for what its worth I have never assumed that the junior doctors are being

greedy. That's not why people go into your vocation although obviously everyone wants to be treated and rewarded fairly for what they do.

I defend this government on here when it comes to certain things but i do feel it has done itself no favours whatsoever when it comes to the way it has dealt with matters such as disability benefits, reforms to education and now this contract renegotiation. Not all their ideas on these points are bad (although i would be opposed to privatisation of the NHS) but the way they are going about it and treating those employed in the sectors just seems all wrong. I appreciate that sometimes you have to take a tough stance and that change will always provoke disquiet in some quarters but this seems an area where it could have been reformed collaboratively if the differences were as minor as the media is suggesting (which i suppose just backs up what you say about there being a deeper agenda). I have been quite disappointed with the actions of the government of late just as i am with the current farce of a deal Cameron is trying to sell to us us on the EU.

Perhaps if something good comes out of the latter it might be that once we get out of that farce of an organisation we can use the money we pour into the EU coffers every year to recruit and pay the extra doctors and nurses we need to enable the service to operate for extended hours without unfairness. I suspect though that is highly wishful thinking!
