that the money an owner puts in has become much less of a factor than it was 10 years ago.

There are only about 30 teams in the whole Europe that can pay more for players and afford higher wages than we can. The problem we have in attracting players at the moment, is the location, the threat of relegation and perhaps an unknown manager - not a lack of money.
