Landlord will not want to pick up that tab and he'll be losing damage deposit if he just cardboards it. Also consider getting a hosepipe or better still portable 5l jetwasher, fill it up and leave it for a week, then spray that stinking water under his front door when he next pisses you off.

He'll be good as gold in no time.
