I can't even decide what formation we'll use

I like the idea of wingbacks, 3-4-3 (turning into 5-4-1 when we defend) or even the old Hoddle 5-3-2 style, though there's probably a reason no-one plays like that any more. Tettey and Dorrans sitting in front of the three CBs either way.

SAN likes 4-1-4-1, don't know if Pinto has been coached on defensive duties or not but assume he will start and SAN thinks Brady's best game is at LB though I don't agree. Klose and Benno for me at CB though think SAN might go for Bass. Obvs Tettey as the one, with Dorrans being one of the two in the middle of the second 4 tasked with giving Tetts a hand.

Best of both worlds is probably 4-2-3-1, back four of Pinto/Klose/Bass/Brady (see comments above, I'd put Benno in for Bass and start Brady higher up, but SAN won't), Tettey and Dorrans, Howson Wes NaeNae then Mbok.

I think Bamford will start on the bench and come on at about 65' or so. Possibly for Wes, maybe for Mbok.

We have more of a chance tonight than we normally would against Spurs (cos of their defensive issues) but a point would still be a decent result. All three would be rather spiffing.
