The more I think about it the more 3xCB makes sense for us

Klose as an old-fashioned sweeper, bringing it out and playing out from the back (which allegedly he's very good at doing). That tends to imply wingbacks with good cover from midfield when they bomb on (something we might want to look at, after Liverpool) and knowledge of when they need to track back and defend (ditto).

The Hoddle/Ajax 5-3-2 model? Old fashioned for a reason probably; a diamond might be interesting too.

Not sure I can remember us having a better window.
