Thing is, the poor there all think one day they'll be the rich

It's the American Dream, to some extent.

But there are loads of kind, generous people there who would give a total stranger the shirt off their back. There are also more Type A personalities than should exist in such a confined space who will stab you in the shoulder blades if it behooves them even a microscopic amount.

Truly a land of puzzlement mate, but I'm glad I was there. But even more glad to be back home.
