Example was easy to tell when I crossed from Mississippi to Lousisiana, or Tennessee etc, even during the course of just a normal days out and about driving for work.

Roads would change, foliage and signs would change, prices would change for things like Petrol, different rules apply for things like alcohol and tobacco. It's more like changing country.
