What was the other major surprise result then?

You don't remotely look at the big picture do you? You just fluctuate wildly based on the most recent results. I didn't become wildly optimistic after the Villa and Saints winsbecause they were nice fixtures I was already figuring in that we had a good chance of winning, and a glance at the remaining fixtures suggested there weren't too many of those left. The last three games were all ones I thought we weren't likely to get much of anything from so losing them made little difference to my overall outlook. You just look at current points per game like a simplistic idiot.
I still think we'll get about 38 points or thereabouts (have done all season) but I have no idea whether that will be enough. So I think 50:50 is pretty reasonable (you had us at 36% yesterday so presumably you're now getting a lot closer to my figure, demonstrating that it was pretty reasonable all along)
