Hopefully yesterday shows the board there's business to be done this window

CM and striker.

Last season we lost to teams that sat back and defended and hit us on the break. This was because our defence was crap and we lacked a midfielder that can play defence splitting passes. We haven't fixed the latter. Who knows if we've solved the former? Doesn't look like it.

I wasn't convinced by Rudd yesterday, no howlers, but Milner finished so easily and he should have stood up for the third and perhaps could have done more on the 1st?

Perhaps I'm being harsh, but he didn't make any saves other than straightforward ones.

It's a tough gig being a rookie keeper in front of that defence.
