Third (or fourth, depending on how you view Newcastle) away no show of the season

That will happen from time to time. We'll do it again once or twice this season (FAO the players: do NOT let it happen at Villa or Swansea).

It'll happen because this squad is stretched. We need seven or eight players to play well all the time - and when they're not, there's actually a lot less that the manager can do than many might assume.

I would question him for retaining so much of Wednesday night's side: yes, Gary O'Neill is responsible for so many looking so tired today. But mistakes will happen: we're a bunch of hard working honest pros with next to no margin for error. Can't go too attacking as we lose our balance; can't concede the first goal away from home, but inevitably do so most of the time.

Redmond's floundering and looks unrecognisable. Vadis has no defensive side to his game. Brady's wasted where he is but looks tired. Wes is in and out especially away from home. Mbokani can't do it all by himself. Jerome's not especially reliable either. Martin is a Norwich legend but past it. Rudd is good but not great. Bassong's still an accident waiting to happen.

FAO Norwich City board: we've done superbly over the last 12 months, but they lads need a hand. No more excuses. Spend some f**king money.
