Strikes me as odd someone would tell him Naismith was happy to sign and wanted to without

going on to say why it didn't happen.

If he was happy to sign then why not do it?

If Jake knows the reason why just talk about the bit he knows will wind people up?

If he can't tell us why then why say anything at all?
