believe we should do (let alone what he actually does) frequently aren't the same thing and we shouldn't really waste our time suggesting targets on a message board, whether Michael Wynn Jones reads it or not. The result of that is the credulous and desperate start believing that we actually have an effect and when that is proven not to be the case supporters think they're not being listened to. Which I suppose they're not, but then really you wouldn't expect the man on the street to walk in and start telling you how to do your job. The only ways supporters can actually make a tangible difference and get listened to involve working at the club, whether for free or pay, or shouting on a match day, when it comes down to it.
Isn't it? I'm not being contrary, and I don't think people shouldn't post about transfers and the like, but wouldn't it be better to talk about what we actually *do* know or can expect - we've signed Pinto; will he play? Will we miss Grabban? Complaining about deals not having been done when we have no idea is futile and blaming McNally is bordering on defamation, isn't it? (I'm obviously not a lawyer so that may not be the right term.)
It doesn't bother me really (no, really!) and it is a message board so free speech and all that, but that also means there will be those who do say to those that panic when we haven't bought Neymar by January 12th that they should chill out a bit. And that's all a good thing. We'll buy who we buy, hopefully they'll succeed and we'll not be a #laughingstock.
